Mitch was in Atlanta for a conference all of last week, so the boys and I kept busy:
Exhibit A: S'mores!
Exhibit B: fun with friends. Kiley and Andrew came to visit and Cal convinced them to play trains for a bit.
Exhibit C: Mimi came to help. She stayed for the night and helped me with the bedtime and morning routines. The boys had a lot of fun with her!
Exhibit D: We visited our neighborhood playground. They bought a new slide and installed new swings. Cal was soooooo excited that when we drove by after school, he screamed with joy that he wanted to go play. I got the boys loaded up and off we went.
He sprinted towards the playground!
Davis seemed pretty excited about everything, too!
First slide ride!
On Saturday, we played outside with the boys. It turned hot pretty quickly. Temps at or near 100 degrees in May is too hot, for the record.
We went to our friends, the Ecks, that night. Cal had so much fun and Davis was so mellow and happy. Perfect night. The Ecks have two little girls. Cal played, chased, and laughed with them for hours. At one point, he ran past me and told me that he was "trying to kiss the girls.....on the mouth". Oh my.
On Tuesday night, we intended to go to the KSU vs. WSU baseball game. However, when I picked Davis up from daycare, they told me that he'd had a really rough day. He's getting his first tooth and isn't napping AT ALL for them. He was refusing his bottle and was just overall pretty fussy. I decided to stay home with him and Cal and Mitch went to the game. Davis went to bed before 7pm....tired baby!
His pudgy belly interferes with his ability to teethe on his toes. I'm ok with that. #bigbabyproblems
My friend, Ashley Schlatter, sent me these pics from the game tonight. It looks like he had a great time! I bet he sleeps well tonight.
