Stuff....just stories and things that I want to remember. :)

I just realized that I haven't made it "blog official", but we are expecting another baby!
March 30th, 2016.....another Walter baby will be here!

Cutest reaction ever:

Cal has decided that if its a boy, his name shall be "Roochin" and if its a girl, it'll be "Rosie".

Davis has gone through several movie obsessions in his 22 months.  His love for cinema started with Nemo, moved to Despicable Me (Gru), and to Lion King and Big Hero 6 (they tie for his favorite at this point).  Cal loves the Lego movie and some new Disney Jr. show called PJ Masks.

My nausea has been pretty prevalent this pregnancy.  It hit around 5 weeks and has been fairly constant to now (14 weeks).  Luckily, I'm not puking but it always hits the worst at night....ya know, when I'm trying to cook dinner and play with my boys.  It's been so gross trying to cook for my family when I want to gag over everything I am cooking.  If I were making bowls of cereal then we'd be set....because I cannot get enough Cinnamon Toast Crunch.  YUMMMMMMM.

Do you want to know a fun way to spend hundreds of dollars in an hour?  Take your son to the ER for a swollen and painful area in his nether regions, only to be told that he has a bad bug bite.  Awesome.  All that swelling was from a damn mosquito.....maybe it'll pay the ER bill!  That dose of Benadryl is going to be an all time record.  lol.  I'm just so glad it was nothing else.  The on call doctor at his pediatrician told us that we had to go because it could be a twisted testicle.  We are so thankful that it wasn't!!!

Davis loves when I sing "Away in a Manger" to him at night.  We usually rock in the chair or I'll rub his back while he's laying in his bed.  He lays so still and stares straight at me while I sing.  It's a really sweet moment.

Cal's eczema is really flaring up lately.  Thankfully, it's only located on his hands, but it's so itchy and cracked....poor kid.  We've got him on a new hand cream, so hopefully that helps knock it out soon.

Davis watches everything his big brother does and says.  The boys were naked and I was getting them ready for bed.  Cal took a toy (the kind where you push your hand into it and when you take it away, you've got a handprint on the other side) and decided to push his peepee into it.  Disgusting.  I turn around and it was a game of monkey-see-monkey-do.   Davis was taking his turn.  Don't worry, folks.  They're going to be cleaned and lysoled.

Davis loves to say, "I see?"  so that we'll lift him up to look at something.  He also says it when he wants to show you something....he'll grab my hand and lead me to the thing he wants me to see.  It's precious.

Davis is SOOOOOO into dinosaurs!!  He loves his Big Book of Dinosaurs and wants to talk about every one and whether they're mean or nice.

Cal is really athletic and as he grows, it becomes more evident.  He can throw the ball up with one hand and hit it with a bat with the other.  He scored two goals in soccer last weekend and had great footwork.  He is getting stronger and taller....too quickly.  He's becoming such a big boy and although it's so fun to watch him grow in his abilities, language, etc.....it's sad that he's not our little toddler any more.  Such a catch-22......

I haven't forgotten about you, Blog.

Bath Buds.
Splashing Buds.

Cal's gotten quite quick on his scooter!

The boys and I love visiting our neighbor's dog, Millie.  She's a sweet little schnauzer and usually comes outside when we call.

Davis can reach the pedals on his trike, but he insists on Fred Flinstone'ing his way around and just pushes with his feet.

I took our silly boys to a different park on one of our Fridays off together.  I think they had fun.  :)

We went to the first KSU game at the beginning of September.  It wasn't as hot as in some years past, but it was still quite warm!  The boys tailgated shirtless, which I'm sure won't be the last time that happens...in toddlerhood or college.

Check out D's blonde hair!!!!

Bill Snyder was accepting his College Football Hall of Fame award!

I took the boys to a grassy area to run during the 3rd quarter.

Where there is a puddle....

I took the boys to the zoo one Friday morning and we explored the petting zoo, an area we don't often visit.  The boys loved brushing the goats....and I don't think they minded it either!

After naps, we went to our park down the street.

Cal had his first soccer game in September!  He didn't score during the first game, but scored two goals at his third game!

Mimi came to watch his match!

Cal in action....

Bad pic....but I made Mitch some banana cake for his birthday.  We celebrated with a big group of friends at the Gillespie house, while watching the KSU game.   I put all the candles I had on the tiny piece of cake and nearly set off the fire alarm.  :)

Happy guy!

Just chillin'....

Oh Cal...

We found a grasshopper and had to examine it, catch it, release it, and repeat.

The had "princess hair".

Davis loves to "talk" on the phone.  He was multitasking this day and doing a  little yard work while gabbing.

Another Friday....another zoo day. :)  The Gillespie girls met us and we fed some ducks!

Avery and Davis....too cute!

Cal and Ella....so sweet.

Aaaaaaaannnnnddddd.....where there is a puddle, Davis will be there.   Do you see a recurring theme?!

This was posted on Cal's school's FB page.  The boys love it at JNA!

Mitch was the coach on this Saturday.  It wasn't planned, but he stepped up to the plate, errrr goal, and did a great job!

We left immediately after the game and drove to Manhattan for the football game.  Davis likes to put food between his toes and then eat it.  Gross.

THAT FACE.   :)

Davis was pretty interested in what Paul was up to!

Alex and the boys were expending some energy during the THIRD overtime.  Yikes.

The next morn, I went for a walk and came across these sweet babies.

Of course I had to pick them up and bring them home.  However, after a call to the ER Vet, I was talked off my "save the baby bunnies of the world" pedestal and took them back to where I found them.  I sure hope those sweet babies made it.

We went to a Sunday night picnic at the Eck's house (his brother's) and Davis LOVED the miniature horses!!!

Cal LOVED wrestling with Luke, the child he's got in a strong hold right here.

"Mommy, I know I shouldn't wrestle....but Luke is SUCH a good wrestler!"

Muffin batter....as an appetizer.

The neighborhood divot fixer....

I think that the golfing session wore him out!

Just a little brother on brother crime love.

Craft time!  Cal really enjoys creating things and is pretty precise while painting.  Davis, on the other hand, is a bit more abstract in his artistic talents.

Daddy was golfing, so the boys and I went for some snow cones!  It closes on Wednesday and we are not happy about it.  Yes, I brought our own spoons. :)

We then ventured to a park to burn off our snow cone energy.  We had a big thunderstorm the night before....can you tell?

Where there is a puddle....

I made them strip down to their undies and diaper.  They were soaked and covered in sand.  They went straight into the bath when we got home!

On Sunday, we finished our crafting project.  We added googly eyes and spider legs.....so cute!

When I ask Davis if he likes something, he says..."I do!  I do __(insert item)___."
Here he is bouncing on me while telling me that he does like dinosaurs.

Heart. Melting.
