December 2017-February 2018

Making pie with Mimi!

We went to visit Great Grandma.  ❤️. She was wearing a pretty Christmas scarf that Aunt Mary had bought her over 20 years ago.

.....putting one of Uncle Tony’s old puzzles together!

Dad!  🤣

Ollie was so tired after our trip to Larned.  She has always loved a good nap in the car.  💜

Everyone was tired and happy that we were home!

If it’s not my actual babies needing something from me, it’s my fur babies!

These are just random pics of my Christmas decor this year.  I love decorating for Christmas, which is why I always do so around my birthday.  Yes....that’s a good 6 weeks early but if I’m going to take that much time putting it all up, I want to enjoy it for a long time!!! 🎄 ⭐️ 🎁

These pooches were worn out and ready for Christmas morn!

These boys were ready to see what Santa left for them!!

FaceTiming with my bro on Christmas morn.  🤣

Davis loved shooting Mitch with his Nerf gun....up close and  personal.  🤣🤣🤣

All the dogs wanted to sleep with Cal that night!

Then they woke up bright and early with Archie and I the next morn.  This child doesn’t like to sleep in.  Ever.  5:15am.    The good news is is that I now have lion King and Nemo memorized again. There were some mornings where we would watch both movies in their entirety before anybody else got up!

Everybody wanted to sit with us!  🤣

Poor Arch got terrible hives and after talking to the doctor,  it was decided that he had a viral rash and it was just the virus exiting his body.  His poor, itchy body!

Mitch complains about Piper (often it is justified haha), but he does love that sweet girl.

Mitch and I invited the Schlatter’s to a party at Tallgrass that night.  It was so fun!  Ashley and I left early to relieve our babysitters, but Mitch and Jon stayed and enjoyed the free appetizers and drinks.  💙🤣

Uncle Bryan came for a visit after Christmas.

Marshmallow time with my big boys!

These boys were exhausted!  Christmas Break wears everyone out!!!

You read that right......it was ACTUALLY -6 degrees.  😬 ❄️

Ashley Schlatter brought us homemade jam and we seriously ate one jar in a day.  It was amazing!!!  Archie approved!

Davis got a bruise....from rough housing.  🤦🏻‍♀️

Also.....Archie never wants us to change his diaper.   He’s. So.  Rascally.

This was the day that Davis took a tape measure and said.....”Wow!  My weinerson grows every day!”   🤦🏻‍♀️

Davis went up to the bar at Tallgrass and waited for his order.  It was so cute.....and a visual for what I will see in 18 years. 🤣

💜 I love my sweet O-Bear.  💜

Morning cartoons with my babes.

Cute.....but where am I supposed to sleep?!

This boy “didn’t need a nap.”

Arch wanted to feel the snow.....the very little snow we had!

“Mom!  Hottey!!”

This boy also “didn’t need a nap.”

We had the Perriers over for a bbq. So fun!

Hi Arch!

The big boys were excited about their new magazine subscription from Baba!

This boy was obsessed with Lion King from Oct-Jan!

More snow!  Just a little snow, but enough to count.

The many faces of Daver Dave.....

It felt like -19 out, but we played in the snow.  It’s fine.  We’re fine.  I’m fine.

I love my dogs!

Pic of Arch and some classmates....

I feel the same way when I go to Target, Arch!

Crazy kiddo!

Rocky was catching crumbs.

In mid-January, we went to KC for the funeral of a 21 year old friend. It was horribly sad, but we were thankful to be able to see Mimi and Papa during the extremely difficult day.  Kids seem to lighten the mood just enough during moments like this.  I think everyone was a bit thankful to see a few little ones running around.

Davis asked Papa his usual questions that he asks anybody and everybody: 1) How much do you weigh?  And 2) Do you have any allergies?   Hahahahaha.   Then he proceeded to pull on Papa’s chest hairs.  🤣🤦🏻‍♀️

The boys were so good during our long day to and from KC.  Ice cream for the ride home!

Mitch said that Piper is the dog version of me and that’s why I like her so much: she’s tan, she’s long and lanky, and she’s anxious.   🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Davis’s classtook a pic together at JNA.  This is such a sweet, close knit group of friends.  ❤️

Ollie was bird dogging Davis’s warm banana bread.  🤣
Davis said, “Mom, I hope the WARTHOG sees his shadow today!” on Groundhog Day.  😋

Arch likes to collect pinecones out of our neighbor Pat’s yard.

We had Game Night one Friday eve.  It was hilarious!  Davis could never contain his excitement during Old Maid.....no poker face for this one!  😂

It was so gorgeous outside the next day that I took the boys to the zoo while Mitch golfed.  We invited Vada.  We first ate at Freddy’s and then spent 3 hours at the zoo.  It was a great day!

Arch was SCARED of the up close viewing of the tiger.  🙅🏻‍♀️

We ran into one of Archie’s daycare friends, Rory.  They watched “the raffs” eating grass.

I sure wish Rocky could get comfortable on our bed.  🙄

I took the big boys to the St. Thomas Fairin Sunday while Mitch stayed with a napping Archie.  It was fun and we ate some yummy food!

When we got home, we went out and “golfed”. Arch LOVES golfing!!!!!!!

Cal and I made his 100 Days of School poster.  Star Wars!

I had to return to Larned for a funeral one Friday, so I took the two younger boys and Mitch picked Cal up after school.  They went on a special date:  dinner and to the movie Jumanji!  Cal looks so grown up in this pic from the restaurant.

Before returning to Wichita after the funeral, we stopped by Great Grandma’s room.   💜

She helped Archie out on his coat and my heart melted.  I just love seeing her with my boys.  They all have a special bond.

The funeral was for a longtime family friend, Gary Caplinger.  He and Dad were friends for well over 30 years. This photo of a 30-something Bruce Gatterman was included in the video at Gary’s funeral.  What a handsome guy!!!
