September has been good to us!

Cutie patootie.

Of course....more sleeping pics.  I swear that they do sleep in their own beds, sometimes.  Even when we leave their room and they're in their own beds, they usually end up in each others or ours by the next morn!

This big guy likes to eat!  He is soooo interested in what we are eating and drinking, though.  He prefers little chunks of banana and food that we are eating, compared to his baby food.  He still has no teeth. He's the latest teether of all 3 boys!

It rained and rained and rained on that Sept. 9th.  We went worm hunting when the rain finally cleared!

Avoiding the mud pit that is our yard.

You read that right.....we were ready to build an ark!!!

We had a 5.8 earthquake the week prior and 7" of rain the next.   What is going on around here?!?!

We had two weddings to attend on 9/10/16 in KC.  We took the boys to the first ceremony, but they didn't make it all the way through the mass.....so I took them to the playground beside the church for the second half.

We left the boys at the hotel with Mimi and Aunt Susie.  They took them to a fun train restaurant for dinner and then played in the hotel with them.  Mitch and I headed to Tom's reception and had a blast!  It was like a college reunion.....so many familiar faces!

We left around 9pm and headed to Chris Napolitano's reception.  Mitch's good Law School buddies were in attendance and they had a great time catching up!

Mitch went out with his buds that night and I headed back to the hotel.  The next morn, I took them swimming in the hotel pool.

Archie had a waterproof cast, which made bathtime soooo much easier!

Thankfully, after 3 weeks, this little guy is now cast free!!!

Mitch was golfing one morning, so the boys took advantage of time while I was putting the baby down for a nap......and picked out all the marshmallows from the Lucky Charms.  lol

It rained and rained and rained that day......another 5-7" soaker, so once it stopped, we headed down to the park to make sand castles!

The Moat Master

Typical Davis.....it's 5pm so he'd better take a nap.

This big boy has hit a growth spurt recently!  He's wearing all 12-18 month onesies now!

We went to the first KSU home game and ran into Willie!

The boys enjoyed watching the band up close and personal.

Raising them up right.....

This is how we tailgate now-a-days.  :)

Meet Charlotte.....the Orb Spider that we visit with each day.  She has built and rebuilt a humongous web in our front yard.  The boys love checking on her daily, so I have had to restrain myself from knocking her web down.  Ick.
I took the boys to the zoo on Friday.  I love our Fridays together.....sweet moments with my babes.

The Black Mamba was super interested in the boys that day!

After 3.5 hours at the zoo....and temps reaching into the 90's.....these three were pooped.  I had a leisurely stroll on the way back to the van, pushing over 100 pounds in the stroller.  ha!

August hit us with a one-two punch.....

This cutie enjoyed his first taste of frozen yogurt.  :)

Sweet Baby...

Arch's first day of daycare:

Cal's school didn't start for a few days, so he came with me to work!  He loved playing with all my games (but didn't understand why I couldn't stop working to play with him), wrote on the white board, took lots of snack breaks, and enjoyed some yummy pizza on the playground.  He was such a sweet little helper!

I had to return some thing to Gap and this fella wanted to join the models.  I think he fits in pretty well!

Davis had a great first day at JNA in the 3 year old class!  Ms. Marietta is so wonderful and he loves being in her room.

It was Cal's first day of school a few days later!  He started at Wichita Montessori.  Unfortunately, this year in his classroom, there were mostly 3 and 4 year olds....no 5 year olds.  Last year, there were mostly 5 year olds, which is one reason we chose this program!  So, after a lot of consideration and conversations, we decided to pull him from Montessori and put him in the 5 year old Pre-K at JNA.  It has actually worked out perfectly because he is much happier and it's nice having the big boys at one school again!

I had packed cold pizza for Cal for his lunch.  However, he was hungry BEFORE school at drop off and decided to eat it in the car instead.  lol!  He only had a half day of school that day, so we got to eat lunch together afterwards.  :)

Davis wanted to play golf with ALL the balls he could find.

Doggie kisses!  I've heard that a dog's mouth is the cleanest part of their body....but I've seen what my dogs do to opossums when they enter our yard.....so I don't believe that saying anymore.

Time for some can-rock throwing!

Davis was playing with "his guys" and the superheroes and bad guys were battling over cheez-its.

Cute little baby in the bath!  Arch loves bathtime and splashes all over the place!

The boys were playing fetch one day.  hahaha

I made a chocolate sheet cake for a bbq that we were having and I came downstairs after I showered....to this.  Davis Mark Walter....you little cake bandit.  I guess his unwanted cake testing isn't limited to just his uncle's wedding cake.

Roll, baby, roll!!

However, our bbq plans were thwarted because our baby got a big injury.  I had bathed him before his nap and put him to sleep in just his diaper.  When he woke up, I brought him downstairs and Cal and I were playing with him.  I ran upstairs to get a onesie, and in the 10 seconds I was gone, Arch rolled from his back to his tummy.   He hates tummy time and started crying.  So, being a good big brother, Cal helped him roll back over (like he had done many times before), only this time his arm was caught behind his back and it got twisted.  I knew his arm was broken almost immediately.  He wouldn't squeeze my finger and his arm was dead weight.  I took him in right away to the ER and the found a spiral fracture.  Our poor guy got a splint and was casted 5 days later.

Still smiley!

Mitch took the big boys to the hitting range for awhile the next day.  They loved it!  The snack bar was especially a hit!

Davis looks like he had a little more than just lemonade in his cup.

Davis had a message for Papa!

I don't always wear gym clothes and a pony tail.....well, I mostly do, but sometimes I HAVE to get dressed up.  I have to document these rare moments sometimes, mainly so that my children don't look back and think that I ALWAYS looked like a ragamuffin.

Davis's teacher sent me this one day.  So cute!

This big boy got his cast!  Davis wanted him to get a green one, so big surprise....Davis won.  Like usual.

Davis's teachers sent me this video one day.  :)

Davis was signing Arch's cast and "drawing bullsnakes".  lol

We went to KC that weekend for Mitch's firm's work event.  Luckily, we got to see my good college bud, Suzanne, and her family!  Joe is getting so big and will have a baby sister this December.

Joe looks a little weary of the wild one on his left.  lol

The view from our hotel floor.

We took the street car from the hotel to the KC Convention Center.

The event was amazing!  There were carnival games for the kids, lots of snacks, face painting, etc.

Ella Eck was up first.....

So pretty!

Carrie was next....she was so excited about her Frozen makeup!

Danger Dave opted for Batman.  Shocker!

Auggie and his T-Rex.  :)

Cal got an awesome tiger face!

During the dinner and performance, Davis decided that he wanted to follow his best bud, Auggie.  Also, he really loves Dom!

Sadly, our night ended on a terrifying note.  Cal and the other kids were running sprints in the empty hallway.  It seemed so safe because they weren't bothering anyone and they were enjoying themselves!  Unfortunately, Cal tripped over someone and fell face first into the wall AC unit.  He split his top lip open from the tip to the gums.....there was blood everywhere.  We thought it was just a little cut at first, but we took him to the ER anyway.  We got in there and the doctor lifted his lip and it looked like a valley....the lip was held together by the top layer of outside skin.  It was such a wide and deep cut....so awful.  Since Cal had just eaten, they had to wait 6 hours to give him anesthesia.  I had to take the little boys home and Mitch stayed with Cal.  At 4am, they put Cal under anesthesia and the Oral Surgeon put in 15 stitches.  M and C got back to the hotel room around 5:30am.  I hardly slept at all because I couldn't believe I wasn't with my baby when he was going under anesthesia.....but I also knew that I had to stay with the younger boys.   It was a long, awful night...but thankfully, Cal healed well and quickly!

The next morn...Sunday.

Monday morn....

Tuesday morn.... :(

I had missed so much work in the last 7 days due to Archie's arm and then Cal's mouth....so Mom came up to stay with him one day.  I came home and found these two nerds on the iPads playing the racing car game.   haha

Oh hey, Don!  He brought in a wee bit of muddy paw prints.  We've had so much rain lately......8" just this last weekend alone!!!

Mitch tried to prep for the Tour de France on Davis's tricycle......the trike didn't fair too well.

His swelling was going down and his energy was returning!

Meanwhile, Arch turned 5 months old!  He is interested in supported sitting, enjoys eating baby oatmeal and a variety of fruits and veggies, has discovered his voice, loves to laugh at his big brothers, smiles when spoken to.....overall, he's a very joyful baby.  We are so blessed!  Also....he hit a major growth spurt!  I swear one day I tried to put his 6 month onesies on and it wouldn't snap.  He's in 9 month onesies mostly, but the 12 month ones fit best.

The stitches have almost completely dissolved!

Handsome, party of 3.  KSU Game Day!

The boys and I took a 2 hour walk around the Nature Center.  It was the perfect morn....we didn't see a lot of animals, but it was fun being out in nature and investigating all the insects.

First part of "Grandpa Davis"

Second part...

Archie Mac

My folks went out to Palo Alto for the game.  Tony and Misha live near the Stanford stadium, so they all had a good time!

Robert made the trip, too.  :)

Our bff's, the Gillespies, went also!  Kristin and I were texting and she sent me many a pics that invoked jealousy.  lol

On Saturday, we went to the Ecks' for a bbq.  The kids played hard for 5 straight hours and the adults ate and drank.  It was perfect.

Auggie and Davis are two peas in a pod!!!!

Leftover Mexican food at 8am......he opted out of cereal and went straight for the cold taco.  lol

We had a great Labor Day weekend with our kiddos and friends!  We hope that we got all of our ER visits out of our system for the next 100 years.  :)
