May-June updates

Arch stole Davis's hat during his haircut!

First popsicle!

Kindergarten Roundup!  Cal wanted to wear a collared shirt.  :)

We met the Frieze's at the park afterwards.

Mitch took the boys to the hitting range one day.  How cute are they?!

We took the boys to Pawnee Prarie State Park.  It has beautiful hiking trails and we LOVED exploring!

I took the boys back to Larned.... Arch tolerated the high chair for awhile. Just a short while.

Happy Mother's Day to these two beauties!

Davis's new costume attire.

I'm just lucky that he kept his undies on!  lol

Sweet babies!  I keep them on a leash out front while we play.  Rocky barks relentlessly until I bring him out.  😒

"Warming up" after some sprinkler time!  I used to do the same thing as a child....only with my swimsuit still on.  I loved laying straight on the cement, almost to the point of it burning.  😆

It takes two.  Rocky still won.  haha

Arch and Ollie were checking out the flowers I planted!  I love planting tubular begonias.  They withstand the Kansas heat so well!!!  I mixed in a ground cover....can't remember the name, but it reminds me of a succulent.  So pretty!

Arch's daycare sent me this one day!  He is definitely developing/revealing such a silly personality!!  ha

Oh great.  He's already plugging his ears when I talk.

Field Day was rained out, so they brought the games inside!

Cal and Harper Adams.  :)  "Mom, I think she loves me.  She always smiles when she sees me."

The recent rains have made the playground an amazing sand castle building environment!

Digging a moat...

Doing some "school work"....letters, patterns, etc.  These books from Costco are phenomenal!

Davis hugged this mannequin in Target and wanted a pic with it.  Silly guy.

Cal said, "Mom, I don't know why but I'm really excited to go to Target today!"  This is a boy after my heart.....so smart.  :)

I snapped this photo one night.  I slept in the boys' room with Davis because he wasn't feeling well.  I woke up to give Arch a bottle (yes, I still do this because I'm too weak to let him cry it out).....and saw both dogs snuggled against Davis.  Precious!

Funny kid!!!  He loves the playset!

We went to the Ecks one night.  I love seeing our kids run free and play together!

I was wrestling with the boys and then Archie pulled this move!  Hysterical!

We left the dogs with my folks when we went to Minneapolis.  Mom sent me this photo of Ollie.  She always makes herself right at home!  ha

I rescued a turtle from the boys' school's parking lot one morning.  It was on the sidewalk and I knew it would get run over.  I brought it home before heading to work.  The boys and I played with it and fed it after school.....then released it at the golf course pond.

While we were releasing this turtle, we found another GIANT turtle!

Rocko blends in with out bedding.....but that giant disaster needs to sleep on his dog bed.  There's no room for us!  ha

As big of a disaster as he is, Rocky's temperament with our boys is above and beyond.  He's never once growled or snapped....and our boys put him through the ringer at times.  He's a great dog, but I wish he'd stop barking incessantly and stealing food off of our countertops/out of our kids' hands/off our plates/off the table/etc.  :)

The boys and I found a frog while we were in Larned.  :)  Mitch HATES frogs, but I've always loved them.  They're so squishy and cute.....yes, they pee on you....but they're still sweet.

This was in Cal's journal from school.  It's hysterically accurate!!

I got all the flowers planted, trimmed the bushes, and mowed the yard.  Mitch works so hard at the office and I really do love working in the yard....so I do most of the yard work.  He does the hard stuff like fertilizing and trimming.  However, our house looked so nice that evening that I had to document it.  Everything looked so nice and tidy on the outside.  It's a good thing that nobody has x-ray vision for the disaster zone that was inside our walls.

I took the boys on a nature walk one day.  This is seriously how our walks look.....someone always ends up being carried....and Cal is pushing Davis in the stroller?!?!  ha

We saw some deer!!!!  We got so close to the three does and it was pretty cool!

We drove to Minneapolis over Memorial Day Weekend.  The boys traveled SO WELL.

We stopped in Cameron, Missouri for lunch and to let the boys stretch their legs.  We found an AMAZING park and played for over an hour.

I cannot figure out how to block this woman's face out, but I have to include this picture in the blog.  She wasn't wearing a bra, was smoking a cigarette, and carrying a light saber.  It was too much to take in.....😕😁

After our park outing, we drove for another two hours and stopped at a hotel for the night.  I got the chalk out for the boys to play with, which seemed like a good idea.  However, every time they cleaned the board off, the chalk dust enveloped the air and we all had to breathe it in.  Not fun.

Cal gave me his 'crazy eyes' look.

Mischievous little badger...

Gus Cunningham and Davis!  We made it to Minneapolis!

They got so dirty outside....and were probably not much cleaner after sharing bath water with 4 other children. haha

The boys were having "kick fights".

Mitch accidentally took my van keys to the golf course, so we had to squeeze all 5 boys into the back of Caitlin's vehicle!  It worked out just fine and allowed us to drive to the park!

Caitlin and I took a little mom juice to the park.  :)
These three looked like triplets at times!  The Cunningham boys will turn 5 in July.

Tom Turkey lives in their neighborhood!

Arch dominated Mexican food that night!!!

Not much has changed since 2009.  :)

The boys woke up late and watched some iPad.

We took a tour of the University of Minnesota's athletic facilities.  Minneapolis is so beautiful and so is the campus.

After the tour, we ate at Buffalo Wild Wings.  Cal looked like a 12 year old while he was eating wings.  ha

Mississippi River....beautiful!

We drove back all the way on Sunday and arrived at 1am.  It was touch and go for awhile....but we made it!

The boys and I relaxed on Tuesday.  We hung out, did some "school work", and vegged out.

The boys made cards for Janet and Barry Stanley because they're moving.  They've been wonderful neighbors and we are so sad to see them go!
Janet cried when they delivered the cards, but said that she was "crying because she was going to miss them and not because she was sad."  :(

Funny kiddo!

I've read that you're supposed to let others take pics of you because that's how your children remember you.....so here I am.  No makeup.  Tired.  Hair is a mess.....but Davis took the pic.  :)

I've been trying to teach myself how to cut the boys' hair this summer.  This was my first attempt.  I guess I need to work on my fading skills.  hahahahahahahaha  (For the record, I made it look SO much better and blended it all in!)

Pool time!

Cal, Davis, and I all have a freckle on the inside of our finger!  Cal and my freckle are on the exact same finger!!!!  So odd.

Last day of swimming lessons!

Mitch was in KC for work meetings and a Royals game.  This dog gave me a run for my money while he was gone....well.....he really does every day.  He's a mess, but I still love him.

The boys and I took a trip to Tanganikya!

Arch loves his blankie!  This was my blanket when I was a baby.  :)

I never let the boys buy something from the gift shop at the zoo or Tanganikya, however I did this day!  I let them each pick a stuffed animal.  :)

Park date with my friend, Krista (simmons) Reed and her boys!  We grew up together in Larned and now work together in the Circle district.

I love finding Davis's selfies on my phone.

Cal's arm vs. my arm.  He's such a big guy....or maybe I'm such a puny girl!??!!  ha

We painted on the driveway one morn.

It immediately tuned into Davis painting himself.  As always.

Arch loves to bother Davis!  He was trying to squeeze into the car with him.

Davis took a selfie with Otto Sullenger.  :)

Every time I run by this house in our neighborhood, there are at least 10 ducks in front of this guy's house.   I stopped him one day and told him about the "duck party"....he said he throws corn out for them.  :)

This big boy doesn't look like a baby anymore.  I took this pic and was amazed by how much he's changed in the last month alone!

Davis and the diving board.....love at first sight.  :)

Last day of swimming lessons!

Davis talked me into some flags at Target.  Yes, that's a tee in his mouth.

We turned Arch's seat around and he's forward facing now.  He seems to like the new view!

This little guy has had a rough couple weeks of sleeping.  He's got a cold...or allergies?!?!?  He cannot breath very well at night, which makes him wake at 4:30am on some mornings.  He usually falls asleep while rocking with me around 6:30am....like in this pic.

My Costco crew!  I treated them to lunch.  ha

My handsome first baseman!!

Another 4:30am wake up.....ugh.

Cal looks like he's 10 in this pic!!!

Another selfie!  ha

On the day before Cal's birthday, we ate snowcones, swam, and then had a tball game.  It was a long, fun day!

Helllooooooooo, Mitch Jr.!

On the 14th, we took the boys, along with Mason and Kenna Frieze, to All Star Adventures.

Mason stayed the night that night and the boys had so much fun!  They played some video games and watched a movie.  The next morn, Cal had to wake up and go to Jr. Golf at 8am.  Our 6 year old was so tired!

.....so was this kiddo.  Yet another 4:30am wake up.....

Davis yelled, "Hey mom!  Come here!'   :)  Book mountain!

I had to put Ollie in the crib so that Archie would leave her alone.  The boys and I were reading books in Arch's room and he wouldn't let her rest.  I had to save my O-Bird!

The night of Cal's bday, he had a tball game.  Everyone was SO exhausted!   They fell asleep within 4 minutes of the drive!  The little boys stayed asleep and I ended up coming home with them after 20 minutes of watching the game.  Cal woke up and played....even though I forgot his mitt.  Whoopsie.

Cal got a tent for his bday!  I don't think they're going to let me take it down any time soon.  ha

Mom joined the boys and I at the pool while Mitch and Dad golfed.  We celebrated a wonderful Father's Day Weekend with them!

We ate at Bricktown Brewery that night.  So yummy.

I went downstairs to clean some stuff up and returned to this.  They were all so exhausted!!!  This pic was taken at 7:45pm!
