Messy boys, Nala, and KSU games

Well....I caught a kitten.

This little nugget scurried out of our open garage one day when I was putting recycling out.  I followed her and she hid under our neighbor's porch.  There was no way that I was going to catcher by hand, so I borrowed a opossum trap.  A few turkey scraps later and viola!  The kitten was caught.

She was skin and bones and full of fleas.  However, when wrapped up in a towel and safely inside, she began to purr.  I knew that we now had a cat.  :)

Introducing.....Nala Cookie.  Cal really wanted to name her "Princess Quattro", but I steered him towards Nala.  :)
All three of our fur babies....sleeping on a sheetless bed.  (I was getting ready to wash the sheets.)

The boys were excited about our new cat and Cal was thinking of names for her.

Davis Bug.

Davis learned a new word.  He also thinks that salad is disgusting apparently.  :)

Dirty little Davis Bug

Davis had Pajama Day at school and he really enjoyed the cupcakes.  :)

We went outside after school and Davis found Dee's sprinklers...in his jammies....in 60 degree weather.

Sweet Cal is so opposite of messy little Davis.  He doesn't like to get super dirty or to have paint/mud/etc. all over himself.  Davis, on the other hand, dives right in and makes the biggest mess he can.

Cal really loves school and has made good friends in his class!

Meanwhile.....at the Walter house.....Davis emptied our tape roll.

We went to the Ecks' house for a KSU watch party.  The boys and I didn't watch much of the game since it was so nice outside.  The boys love their trampoline!

Davis loved driving Auggie's tractor!

The boys got so messy that they all needed baths!

After an exhausting evening of chasing the boys at the Ecks' house, I got them into bed and snuggled up on the couch with all our fur babies.  Mitch stayed and had a much needed guys' night with Dom and his brothers....lots of football and beer.  They had a blast!

I went with Davis's class to the Pumpkin Patch in early October.  He loved riding the choo choo!

I slid down before him, but he insisted that he go down by himself.  :)

My sweet baby.....such a silly little guy!

Davis loves to pick up Nala and carry her around.  It's a good thing she's mellow and allows it.....for a short period of time and then she scurries off!  :)

These two are good friends.  Ollie gives Nala baths and they play tag all the time!

While Cal was at soccer practice with Daddy, Davis helped me shop for groceries.  Of course we had a donut run.....I'm pregnant and he's a toddler.  It's basically a given.

Rick came to visit one weekend.  He was talking about Cal's soccer skills while Mitch coached the team.

After the soccer game, we drove to Manhattan for the KSU vs. TCU game!

Playing catch with Papa....

...and Mike Hinkin.

The next morn, Davis tried on the dinosaur head that Mom made Tony back in the 80's.  He loved it!

Cal is going to wear this old costume of Tony's!  Isn't it amazing!  Mom made us the best costumes when we were growing up.

Hiding under the bed....

Where there is a puddle...

Davis loves to help me water my flowers.

This is my life.  :)

I took the boys for donuts one Friday morn.  We were fueling up early for the Royals game that night!

This face!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Davis's teacher sent me this one day.  ha
These are some notes that his teacher has sent home with him.  They crack me up!
- Davis had a great day!  He brought me a dead cricket on the playground.  :)
-Davis had a baby doll with him when he brushed his teeth.  He brushed the baby's teeth, too!
-Davis was so happy, busy, and a little bit ornery today.  He's so much fun!

Silly boys.

After Cal's last soccer game, Coach Andre handed out medals and high fives.

Back to the KSU stadium we went...

Davis didn't seem too sure about something!

Cal loves playing with Nala!

I love this dog.  We put a pillow under her head while we were watching TV.  She started snoring.  ha!

This is my favorite part of our dogs.  Ollie looks like her eyeliner smeared from the corner of her eye outwards.  The little white ruffle on her neck looks like two seams coming together. She is a little bundle of love.
