Some December videos

Cal's class put on a Christmas play and he was Gabriel.  He did a great job!

This little shrieker is so funny!  He loves to "talk" with us..... :)

Arch seems to favor his left hand more, but we know that he won't establish true hand dominance until much later.  However, I thought this was interesting:  when I read to him, he would reach across his body with his left hand, even though his right hand was closer, just to turn the page.  We may be grasping at straws, but Arch has a daddy, a Grandpa, a Papa, and a Great-Grandma that would all be excited to have another lefty join the group!  :)

Look at this big boy motoring around!  He wants to walk so badly!  Will he be a walker in his 9th month, just like his big brother Davis?

This made me laugh out loud!!!!

December festivities

We went to Botanica's Illuminations with the Gillespies this year and it was beyond beautiful.  The kids had so much fun running and exploring while we caught up with each other.  It got COLD by 7pm, so we left after about 1.5 hours.

I didn't get cards sent out to everyone this year.  I posted it on FB instead and called it good.  πŸ˜³. I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas....through social media.  πŸ˜³πŸ˜‚πŸŽ„πŸŽ…πŸΌ

We made pudding cookies one Friday.   I turned around and instead of tasting the dough like I told him he could, he picked up a whole ball to eat.  πŸ™„

Arch wanted in on the Walter brother wrestling match.

My present wrapping assembly line....

They wrote their letters to Santa and we dropped them off in the designated Santa mailbox nearby.  A week later, we received Santa's responses!!!!
πŸŽ„πŸŽ…πŸΌπŸŽ„

We introduced the boys to Home Alone and it has been a BIG hit this Christmas season!!! πŸ˜‚

The big boys like to talk to Arch while he bathes.  Also, they think it's funny that he grabs his peepee now.  #boyhumor

Arch is 8.5 months old and such a character!  He has a great smile that causes a crinkle in his nose and his left eye to squint.   It's adorable!!

Our little drummer boy

Rub a fun dub....Cal looks like a man in a tub.  πŸ˜³

The next week, I had to run a few errands in Bradley Fair so we stopped by the gorgeous tree for a photo.  The boys threw a few coins in the fountain while we were there.  Cal wished for two things: "that Harper would love me and that a bird would poop on my head like it did to Miss Anita."   (Contrastingly adorable choices, Cal.  πŸ˜³πŸ˜‚)

Then this happened.  Mitch was playing poker on a giy's night and stayed at our friend's house.  In the middle of the night I stumbled in to nurse Arch, apparently half awake, and tripped over the ottoman.  I crashed face first into Archie's crib. I have always heard that you see stars when you get hit hard, and I definitely saw bright lights.  I don't think I totally blacked out but I laid there for awhile!  I took this pic when I went back to bed....
....and then this one the next morn...

....and this later that week.

Then Davis stood in the chair (even though we always tell him not to) and fell against the wall.   We had similar ouchies.

It was 1 degree with a windchill of -20 that night, so we made smores!

Even though the temps were painfully cold, the boys wanted to play in the snow!

Cutie patootie!!!

My college friend, Brooklyn, flew in from Seattle.  Her kiddos are the exact same ages as ours!  We had a great time catching up!

These boys convinced us to let them open their presents from Grandpa Walt and Grandma Sooz before we left for Larned.   They were ecstatic with their gifts!

I'm so behind! Here's a plethora of videos and pics over the last 45 days. :)

I love seeing their sweet bond develop.❤

Kisses?  Bites?

Happy Birthday to me!  We ate four different kinds of desserts.  πŸ˜€❤

November was such a mild month, hence the t-shirts and shorts.  I took the boys on a late afternoon nature walk to release some of their endless wrestling energy.  πŸ˜³. At the end of the walk, Davis still had energy to run ahead, but Cal wanted to be pushed in the stroller (that he can barely squeeze into.  It was so lopsided with him and Arch in it! πŸ˜‚).

He was on all fours and rocking for a few weeks before he decided to take off crawling!
Playful, giggly baby!
He is gearing up for some crawling soon!

The big boys each had a cavity (enter mom guilt here) and I was really worried how Davis was going to react at the dentist. This dentist is amazing though, and his staff always treats them so sweetly. They do the procedure in such a way that the boys don't even know that they have received a shot.  Davis did great until the end and then he was a bit scared and ready to leave.  They watch a cartoon on a screen above them while the dentists work.  Also, the laughing gas helps calm them some, but he didn't like the drill.  Cal did great and was in and out in 15 minutes!

Arch enjoyed some fresh air with us while the boys and I played basketball!  He kept rotating around to grab leaves and put them in his mouth.  πŸ˜³πŸ˜¬

JNA put on another wonderful music concert. The boys were so excited about their songs!

Mitch and I think that Cal looks like Kareem Abdul Jabar in this photo, when compared to his 5 year old friends.  πŸ˜‚
Program clips:

He spotted me.  πŸ’™πŸ˜Š

Davis took Mimi's phone to "take pictures".  πŸ˜Š. Mom came up for their concert that night and I forgot to get a picture of her with the boys. 😣

  My leaf raking helpers.....

This kiddo loves oranges!  I have to dig the chunks or of his mouth, which he abhors, but he loves having "big kid food" to eat like his brothers.
Arch loves oranges!

Cal and I were playing checkers on the Wednesday morning before Thanksgiving.  Apparently, Arch was really motivated by the game because he started crawling while we were playing!  7 months old....

Happy Birthday, Davis!!!  Grandma Sooz and Grandpa Walt Walt sent him some presents.  This Codeapillar is a big hit with all three boys!!!!!

Davis and Cal have put this together and taken it apart many times!  It glows in the dark, too!

Mom and I went to a ceramic shop and painted these trees.  I had such a fun day with my Mama....

Here's the final result!

Arch loves eating oranges and motoring around in his walker!

***Ok, some of the photos above Took place before the following pictures. However, I'm doing this on my phone and I don't know how/I'm too lazy to rearrange all the pictures. So just keep in mind these next pictures actually happened before most of the ones above. Confusing? Probably.***

Mitch took the boys to run around on the Lorna track when we are back home for Thanksgiving. This is a really awesome statue that's near the football field.

Happy 3rd Birthday, Davis!!

Arch was ready for some grub!!!

Cal is so sweet and will go up to give his Great Grandma hugs.  She loves it and so do I.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Arch chose to bide his time by biting his toes on the ride back to Wichita.

We got Davis a big boy Spider-Man bike for his birthday.  He is so excited to have a bike like his big Bubba's!

The boys were so worn out from their trip to Larned!

The next morn, we left bright and early for the KSU/KU game!  Mom snapped this picture of him smashing his face against the window.  lol!

Cotton candy for the birthday boy!

Now this is the face of a happy 3 year old!!!
When we got home that night, I put Arch to bed and came into our room to find this.  Davis had his hand in his pants!  lol

Arch and Ollie like looking out the window from their brothers' room.

I made cinnamon rolls one morning and EVERYONE wanted a bite.  ha!

The boys helped me decorate the tree (in mid-November).  :)  I love having the decorations up for 5-6 weeks.....so pretty!
We completed an art project, too!  The big boys each painted a canvas.  Cal doesn't like to get his hands messy, so he used a brush.  Davis started out with a brush but quickly opted to just smear the paint with his hands.  :)

The boys were driving me NUTS with their wrestling one day, so I tricked them into raking leaves.  They actually love doing it, so it was a win-win for us all.

Christmas came early for the dogs and they got a new bed.  Ollie is a BIG fan of her new comfy spot....

....and so is Davis.  :)

Arch likes to walk while assisted!

Arch is starting to pull himself up and even coast a bit!

The boys saw Santa in December!!!  Unfortunately, they didn't ask for more sleep like I was hoping they would.  😏
Davis asked for nature books and Cal asked for a big, cool dart gun.

We took the boys to see Botanica's Illuminations this week.  It was absolutely beautiful.  The Gillespies and the Walters FROZE, but we had a great time together anyway!
