I took the morning off to attend Cal's Field Day. I'm so glad I did because it was adorable watching him interact with and cheer for his friends while they completed each activity! I love being able to give him my undivided attention on occasions like this. He doesn't get that as much anymore at home, but he really has adjusted well to having a baby brother that now shares his Mama-time.
Foot race:
Bicycle race:
Soccer ball kick:
Ball throw:
What a ham!!
"I knew you could do it, Maelie!!"
Sack race:
The boy that's standing in the back is Thane. He is quite the character. While everyone else brought a simple sandwich for their sack lunch, Thane whipped out a few orange glazed chicken wings and a Capri Sun. Well played, Thane.
What's a Field Day without a little rubber frog toss?!?
Ball Bounce:
Cal and Cooper took a time out from their cheering duties to do a little digging.
That night, Ty came over and I watched him while his folks went to the NICU to visit his new little sister, Evie. She was born 6 weeks early, but is extremely healthy and is getting stronger every day!
I made them a snack and then they ran outside to play. Cal jumped in the kiddie pool and decided to take his wet shorts off and then showed Ty how to potty in the yard. #proudmoment
Davis got a quick bath and then was all smiles as he scooted around in the walker we borrowed from the Ecks!
The toddlers came in and played Legos while I made cheeseburgers. They ended their evening with a few episodes of Bubble Guppies and some milk and graham crackers. I want to give a huge shout out to Ty for wearing Cal out that night. He went to bed so easily!!
The next day, I dressed Davis in this 24 month shirt. I had waited to put it on him because I figured it'd be too big. Wrong. Quite the opposite. It was nearly too small so I stretched and pulled it around to make it less suction-cup like on his tank of a body.
He looked quite nautical, didn't he?!? Cutie.
