Our weekend

After school, the boys and I usually take a walk around the neighborhood and end up at the park.  Cal really wanted to take Davis all by himself.  Sorry, Bud....not yet.

Casting my hatred for spiders aside, I caught a wolf spider one day and put it in Cal's bug catcher.  He was so excited about it and showed all the neighbors.  I drew the line and made the spider sleep in the garage and the next morning, we released it FAR away from the house in a flower garden.  I know that where there is one, there are many more.  I also NOW know that wolf spiders jump.  I'm thanking the dear Lord that this one didn't do so.....and it should be thanking him to, if you catch my drift.

Davis and I did a little reading before school one day.  He loves books and enjoys flipping the pages and pointing to things.

I took D back to the doctor on Friday and he had another ear infection.  I sure hope he isn't headed towards ear tubes.  He chewed on my bracelets while we waited for the doc.

He got his flu shot while we were there and didn't flinch or cry!!

The big guy was determined to get outside before nap time.  He loves being outdoors!

We actually went back to the doctor later that day so that Cal could get his flu shot (via a nasal spray)!

After our day of flu shots (Mama got one, too), we determined that ice cream would make us feel better. Mitch got one earlier this week and missed out on the yummy dessert!

The boys were a sticky mess after dinner.  Baths all around!

We got up early on Saturday and drove to Manhattan for the game.
Papa gave Cal a lift while we walked around the lots....

...and later, he gave him a sucker!  He doesn't like candy at all, can you tell?

Cal played with his friend, Alex, during the game.  They've been coming to the games since they were both 3 months old (she's a month younger than him) and they love playing with each other.  They ran and ran and ran.  Davis wanted to join in so badly!

Cat fans!

"Papa gave me licorice!"

"That's not yours, Papa....I want it back."

Cal cashed out during the 3rd quarter, so we left.

Davis wasn't far behind.  He fell asleep while we walked out to the van.

He slept for most of the ride home.  When he woke up,  he read from one of his favorite books!

Mitch had a hair raising good time at the game!
I crack myself up.

I took the boys to the park and met a few friends,. There was a gaggle of boys running around the park once we all got there. We all had so much fun!  I absolutely love this pic!

We got home and Mitch had cooked the entire dinner!  He's the best!  I think Davis would agree.
