We've been enjoying the nice weather lately and it's a chore trying to convince Cal to come inside to do necessary things like make and eat dinner, take a bath, etc. The kids at his daycare have all enjoyed these beautiful spring temps and have been eating some lunches outside. We really struck gold with KK and Big Dave. Our hearts are breaking that Cal's time in their home is ending in May. He is really going to miss his "Tay Tay" and "BIG DAVE!" (he always yells his name)
We had a fairly laid back Easter and decided to take Cal to the Topeka Zoo that morning. It was perfect timing because it was basically just us and the animals.
Cal loved seeing all the animals, but was oddly interested in the owls.
There was a small petting zoo so we fed the friendly, climbing goats. The zoo worker told us to step over to another area because the goats were about to climb over the gate.
Side note: Why were their ears cut off?!?!?
We came home and Cal took a snooze. Then it was time to hunt for eggs! He loved it....and so did our dogs. They trailed behind him to snatch up any delicious chocolate morsels that fell out of the plastic eggs.
I see London, I see France, I see Cal's crack. Wait, that's not how it goes.
He had to break each one open before moving on.
Cal was worn out on Monday and didn't want to wake up from his nap. KK said that Avery was very concerned about him so she laid beside him until he awoke.
These next few pics are ones that I never want to lose. I just think they're amazing. One of my mom's cousins uploaded them onto Facebook.
