Very busy boys,,,,

The boys and I made sugar cookies one night.  Davis was a HUGE fan and gobbled two or more up before I could tell him no.

Black eye.  Cast.  Dirty frosting mouth.  ALL BOY.

I started realizing that although I (we...everyone) was really excited to get his cast off soon, I wanted to document how our little man got around for 6 weeks.  He began to get frustrated by his bionic arm/weapon because it restricted his mobility!

This big guy loves a challenge lately....big jumps!

After the park, we had a little picnic in the living room.

Kristin and I took the kids to the zoo that weekend.  The boys thought this crowing rooster was hysterical!

We went to Ty's party on Saturday night and the boys had a ball in the bounce house.  Davis's cast didn't slow him down a bit!

Cal lounged in the hammock for awhile....

.....and looked like he was 14 instead of almost 4.

When we got home that night, it took Davis about 2.5 seconds to take his 3rd cast off.   #Houdini

We celebrated the next day by doing something we weren't able to for so long......run through the sprinklers!!

He doesn't look happy at all that his cast is off, does he?

He is such a sweet big brother!

We took a break from the sprinklers and went to the park.  It was our lucky day....someone was getting a new driveway, which meant we could watch the mixer in action!

"Wow!  I'm really impressed by this!".....CAL.  :)

This was also the day that Davis realized he could now go "OUTSIDE! OUTSIDE! OUTSIDE!" whenever he wants.  Lord help me.

Donnie loves playing with the boys in the backyard.  He's such a happy dog when he's outside.

My sweet boys.  I could gobble them up.....just love their silly little selves.

The night we saw a full, double rainbow....it was AMAZING.

Mitch and the boys took me out for breakfast on the Saturday morning before Mother's Day.  It was a delicious meal, but these little boys were a handful.  :)

After breakfast, we met the Gillespies at the Great Plains Nature Center.

Look at this cute little bee.  lol!

Davis wanted to help out Miss Avery.

Just stop with the cuteness......spunky little munchkins.

We went to the Ecks house and the kids ran amuck.  Carrie was helping her daddy out by holding his beer for a minute.....this picture cracked us all up.

These two are quite the match.....very ornery and strong willed!

Sunday was Mother's Day and Cal, who had slept in bed with me and booted his dad to his room, woke up early.  He ran to his dad and told him that he wanted to make me a special breakfast.  My heart is melting.  It was the sweetest surprise.  After Cal brought my OJ and pumpkin bread with honey on it, he said...."Well, I am a bit hungry....and thirsty."  So we shared.  :)

We journeyed downstairs for a few games of Candy Land.  Ollie won.

We went to Home Depot and bought flowers.  The boys helped me plant them later that day!

Yogurt.  Everywhere.
This kid....

Atleast one person was excited for swimming lessons that night.  Davis and I had fun once we were in the water...and Cal loved his lesson!

Cal had field day....indoors.  Wah, wah, waaaaaah.  Rain, rain, and more rain.

Miss Grace and Cal played a little catch.

I think this was what he was most looking forward to!  Snowcone time!

Davis's first selfie!!!!!!!  lol

This kiddo is such a character!  His vocabulary is really booming.  Cal plays a game with him where he says, "Davis, can you say _______?"  Then he'll fill in the blank with "car, doggie, etc."  He likes to throw in large words (Trampoline, porpoise, garbage truck) to make Davis giggle and answer with, "Mmmmhmmmm."

Chalk time!  I traced Cal's long body.

I attempted to trace Davis's, but it's hard to trace a moving object!  His outline looks like a gingerbread man!

This boy took it upon himself to go across the monkey bars!  Holy smokes...

We had some whipped cream with our pudding....can you tell?

We've had so much rain lately that our ditches, roadways, gutters, etc. are all flooded....and the boys love it.  There's ample worm hunting and puddle splashing fun to be had by all!

We cleaned up and ate lunch.  Davis demanded to sit at the breakfast bar, so I made him a "hillbilly highchair".  Thanks for the belt, Mitch!

We played outside the next day and Cal and I found a slug.  He then proceeded to chase Mitch with it and throw it on his leg.  It was honestly the hardest I've laughed in ages.  It was amazing.

After naps, we went to Davis's Dedication at our church.  It was short and sweet.  Davis sat on Kristin's lap for most of the ceremony!  lol.  The Gillespies are such great friends to come to Davis's celebration!

We came home and promptly resumed our puddle splashing.....and rolling.  It was disgusting.  I couldn't stop him.....worm guts, dirt, disgusting streets.....awful stuff.

This kid loved running to the end of the street to play in the "wawa".

Talking and driving.....
