Ollie and Nala are pretty good buds. They chase each other and play....then cuddle together and sleep at night. :)
Even ol' grumpy Donnie will let her snuggle every once in awhile.
I went to the Pumpkin Patch (for the second time in two weeks) with Cal's class. I loved watching him with his friends. He's getting so big. It's crazy to hear their conversations. They talk about best friends, who's going to be invited to their bday parties, who's taller than who, etc. They're becoming boys. I obviously know that he's not a baby anymore, but recently I can't stop thinking about how fleeting these innocent years are and how quickly he's growing up.
My sweet Cal....
The next day at JNA, Cal's class had a pajama party, show and tell, and painted pumpkins. Since the boys don't go to school on Fridays, I took them in for a few hours so that Cal could join the party. They had a great time!
After naps, we went for a long walk at the Nature Center. October was a month full of beautiful weather!
Bros.
Cal wouldn't nap one day, so I took him on my 3 mile walk with me. He rode his scooter the whole time! It was so fun chatting with him. He kept asking me what I wanted for my bday: "What's your favorite sport? What's your favorite color? What's your favorite TV show? What's your favorite jewelry?......Ok, I'll tell Daddy and put that on your list."
18 weeks along!
#momcart
We go through so much milk and OJ in a week. I crave milk when I'm pregnant and use a lot of it due to my tremendous appetite for bowls of cereal (averaging about 3.5 bowls/day right now).
I was so tired one day that I sent Cal to school with his jammy pants on underneath his school pants?!?! When I picked him up, he told me and I couldn't believe my absentmindedness!
Davis drew on his pumpkin while Cal and I gutted the others. We prepped them so that we could carve when Mitch got home. The boys weren't fans of the slimy pumpkin guts. ha
The finished products!
Cal wanted to take a pic!
A selfie, by Cal....
I took the boys to Larned on Oct. 29th so that my folks and Grandma could see them in their costumes. Mom called a few friends and the boys got to do an early round of trick or treating on the 30th!
Mimi whipped Davis's costume together in a few days and made Cal a tail to boot. So cute!!
Cal wore the T-Rex costume that mom made Tony when he was 5! Our two dinosaurs looked so cute! We took them to the bank and them the courthouse in the afternoon.
We visited Great Grandma and she had some bags full of goodies for them!
Mimi bought Davis his all time favorite item of clothing: Batman jammies. He loves how the cape flows behind him when he runs. :)
Davis's Batman jammies have to be peeled off of him. He wants to wear them to school....every night....and on most weekend days.
He wore them to school one day. I'm picking my battles....
Speaking of Batman....
We all had to dress up for Lizzie Schlatter's 3rd bday party on Halloween morning. Mitch was Batman, I was some sort of Batgirl superhero, and the boys were tired dinosaurs. We drove back to Wichita bright and early on the 31st, in order to make it to her party!
After naps, we went trick or treating around the neighborhood. We started early in the evening because the Royals were playing Game 4 of the World Series that night.
The Gillespies joined us and these four loaded up on candy!
Ana and Elsa from Frozen joined our dinosaurs....
The next day, Davis couldn't decide on which sucker he wanted, so he tore both open.
We let the boys stay up later while we watched the World Series game one night. They always sleep well in our bed, but I. DO. NOT. I usually end up at the foot of the bed, but I've started just sleeping on a memory mattress on the floor. I know.....it seems ridiculous, but it's pretty sweet having sleepovers with my baby boys. Besides....I usually get better sleep and have more room on the floor anyway. :)
Where will mommy sleep? #onthefloor
Mitch sleeps in the guest bed so his boys can take over our bed. He's such a sweet daddy and just goes with the flow. The boys just call it, "Mama's bed". ha
Love this.
Davis was struggling after Daylight Savings time. He crashed before naptime even started at school. :)
Davis was excited about staying at the hotel after the KSU game! Mimi and Papa even swam with us. It was a fun time!
Davis and the "pee pool"....
We played Baylor on Thursday, November 5th. The boys snagged some free glasses. So cute!
These boys loved helping us rake.
On my 34th birthday, we found out that we are having our third son. We are extremely excited.....and still a bit in shock! We were 99% sure that it was a girl because my nausea has been thick and constant since week 6. It's finally settling down now, but because of how bad it was, we were sure that it was a girl. I had little to no nausea with the Cal and Davis!
We invited mom to go to the sonogram with us. At 9:30am on my 34th birthday, I got a wonderful birthday surprise. The sonographer was a funny little spitfire of a woman and she went straight for the gender to start it off. Before she even said it, I saw the goods and said...."Oh my God, there it is." :) She confirmed that it was definitely a boy and Mitch said, "Holy sh*t". hahaha
The boys were so excited to find out that they're having a baby brother! Or maybe they were excited about the cookies. Either way...it was a pretty precious reaction.
Icing in the nose.....classic Davis.
Here's our precious baby boy #3. He's about the size of a banana right now....20 weeks to go!
On Friday morn, we went to Exploration Place with Kristin and the girls.
tornado simulation at Exploration Place
We napped later, but not before watching an episode of Peppa, of course! Davis was giving Ollie some sweet snuggles!
These sweeties took the best school pictures! They were taken at the beginning of a very warm October, hence the jean shorts.
I submitted their picture to KSN for "shot of the day" and it was chosen. They felt like movie stars!
