Cal's 4th birthday, Tony's engagement, and everything in between!

On June 12, 2015, my little brother invited us all to Austin for a great surprise.  We pulled up to his new house....

....then he got home AFTER HE HAD JUST PROPOSED!

He got home before Misha did.  When she walked I and saw us all, she screened and then started crying!  He pulled off he surprise engagement and family gathering without a hitch!

Her sweet Poppy gave a speech and toasted the happy couple.

Tony had some random person take their pic next to this wall in Austin.  We are all convinced that she was secretly a professional photographer because she captured the entire thing with some beautiful angles.  

We went for Pizza at Pint House Pizza in Saturday.  Delish!

Unfortunately this is the last picture I took on the trip.  About 2 hours later, Dad's nice truck was stolen....along with his wallet.   Ugh.  It's never been recovered (as expected).

Overall, he weekend was a wonderfully exciting celebration.....we are all so excited for Misha and Tony!

When we got home on Sunday, we got the boys in bed.  I snuck in and took a pic of my 3 year old boy sleeping, for in the morning he would awake as a big 4 year old.   

I thought he'd love tearing this apart the next morning, but instead he came downstairs at 7:30am and told me he'd crawled underneath the ribbons...and asked me why I'd put it there in the first place.  I tried.  Lol

Of course little brother got a gift to open while his big bro opened his own.

The boys and I took cupcakes to his school and celebrated with his classmates. I love Manhattan's face in this pic!!!!

After cupcakes, they all played on the playground.  Both boys were having a blast.  

The birthday boy wanted to go out for Mexican food that night.  The Gillespies met us!  Ella and Cal were trying to pick each other up, then it turned into a great big hug.  So cute!!

We got home and Cal opened his awesome presents from Gpa Walt and Gma Sooz!  Roller skates!!!!!

 

Our big 4 year old is in the 100th percentile for height, at 44".  He's in the 97th percentile for weight at 48.9#.   BIG BOY!!  The doctor said, "He's grown 4" this year!"  I asked if that was a lot and she said that typically kids only grow 2" a year.  :)
