We soaked up the last day of unseasonably warm temps one February eve with a trip to Eastborough Park.
I love watching him toddle after his big brother. He basically runs everywhere now-a-days.....walking is just too slow for this little pistol!
He loves saying, "WOW!" :)
At 5pm, I felt like Cinderella at midnight because the wind and weather instantaneously changed, as though to signal that we needed to get home. It's a good thing we left when we did, because the temps dropped from 70 degrees to 10 degrees overnight.
We woke up to this:
This is what we had to look forward to for the rest of the week:
We have been convinced that D is a leftie, but recently he's started favoring his right hand more?!? Here are some solid left hand pics, though:
It was so cold that we spent all of our time cooped up indoors. Kristin brought her girls over to play.
Is it too early to declare an arranged marriage between our two boys and their two girls?!? :)
We went to Larned to celebrate mom's 60th birthday! Apparently reading picture books is exhausting!
When we got to Larned, we ate cake. Lots of cake.
Susie drove over to celebrate. She turned 65 a few weeks before mom's birthday, so it was a duel celebration.
I found these gems and posted them on FB for Tony's birthday. :)
Lap full of love. Also, Sunny is such a sweet dog! She's the perfect addition to my folks' home.
We went to eat dinner at the Country Club that night. We got the boys a babysitter and enjoyed a fun evening of catching up!
D loves the rocking chair from my childhood!
Sunny learned how to climb trees that weekend! lol
Sunday morning reading session.....
Note to self: don't microwave food on birthday plates. Whoopsie daisies.
I took Davis for his first haircut that next week! He did great and didn't mind the trimming session. I think it helped that his big brother was also getting his hair cut right beside him.
Clean cut Davis!
Cal had a small cavity that needed to be fixed, so they gave him some laughing gas to relax him. He did great and didn't feel a thing. The dentist didn't need to administer general anesthesia because the cavity was just on the surface and could be scraped out. He watched Stuart Little on the miniature TV screen that was placed directly above him while the dentist did his work. Brilliant!
Our boys love corn on the cob!
Sweet boys. Sweet brothers.
Look at that pig dog staring down Davis while he eats cereal!
Pigpen!
Since we were cooped up, we made cookies. The boys enjoyed the best part....dough!
The boys love their color pods in their bath water!
This boy loves to dance!
We baked again the next day and Davis wanted to help. I gave him some flour and bowls to play with instead and he went to town!
He poured it between bowls and in the trashcan.....
Our chubby dog likes cookie dough, too.
Obligatory snow outing.....
We built a mini ramp for them to slide down:
This weekend's temps were in the lower 70's.....beautiful! We spent the majority of our time outside. Yesterday we went to New Spring Church for the first time, and the boys loved their Sunday School sessions! After naps, we played outside for a solid 3 hours before dinner. I'll post pics of this upcoming week soon. It's going to be a warm one!
