I love these two. The bathroom is always a disastrously wet mess after each bath, but two things are accomplished: 1) they're bathed and 2) they have a blast. Mission accomplished.
We have no idea how Davis got this bruise on his ear, but sadly we aren't surprised. This boy is nary without a bruise on his head!
Our elf, Jingle Jacob, returned this month! He's been up to funny shenanigans and the boys love coming downstairs each morning to find him.
The boys and their Griswold Family Christmas shirts. Their folks are quite the fans of that movie.
We really think that Davis is a lefty. Here's a short clip of him playing catch with Mitch.
He will say the following animal sounds: cow, dinosaur, sheep, cow, monkey, elephant, goat, and the sign for duck!
Of course he never cooperates and lets me record them. Silly guy.
Jingle Jacob brought a North Pole Breakfast for the boys. New PJ's and donuts!
We took the boys to see Santa a few weekends ago. We went with our friends, the Gillespies and their girls. On the way in, we met one of his reindeer! The handler was clearly over the "Santa presentation", because when Cal asked him what his name was, the handler said....."His name is Sam." Kristin and I quickly piped in and said something like, "Don't you mean that this is Dasher?!?!"
Poor Davis wasn't a fan. :(
This creepy clown. whose name was Troubles for the record, scared the crud outta Davis when we got there. I made the monumental mistake of taking him over to get a balloon animal and his whole body tensed up. It was at that point that I realized his Santa introduction may not go so well. Mama was right.
That night, Mitch went to a friend's house to watch the KSU game. I got Davis to bed and then Cal and I built Lego cities and watched football.
Touchdown!
We started to get bored because the game was unfortunately not going the Cats' way.
Bright and early the next morning, Davis woke up and was rarin' to go.......crazy bedhead and all. lol
I took Cal to the mall and we chose kiddo from the Angel Tree. He picked, Evan, a 10 year old boy.
The next day, we went and picked out his toys!
Meanwhile, back at the Walter household......Davis likes to look at things from a different point of view.
He also enjoys wearing a variety of household items as hats, while making laps around the kitchen island.
Ol' Jingle Jacob gave our boys googly eyes one night. Does anyone else think of Roger Rabbit when they see this? I thought it turned out a bit creepy. Poor job, Jingle Jacob.
He also learned how to fly one night. He brought his friends, Baymax and Dusty Crophopper along for the flight. Raphael the TMNT couldn't even climb the blocks. I guess turtle shells are heavier than we think.
It was rainy this weekend, so we were stuck inside quite a bit. We broke out the painting supplies. Davis decided to paint himself instead of the paper!
I wore some festive tights to the Christmas party that night. I think they're on the cusp of ugly and cute......teetering more towards cute....but barely.
Cal and his buddy, Ty, devoured some cake at the party.
On Sunday, we spent the afternoon outside despite the constant drizzle. Mitch decided to rake up the leaves and he had a big helper!
Now that's a kid who's lovin' life.
We're raising a club wielding driver over here.....beware!
Time for some puddle splashin'! He even said, "bubble"!
That night, we drove around with hot cocoa and looked at Christmas lights. Davis didn't want to drink his cocoa any more, but he opted for some toe chewin' to bide his time.
"I want to go home now. I'm going to close my eyes until we're home."
Wow--what a fun filled week! and that Jungle Jacob sure has a lot of surprises up his sleeves!!
ReplyDeleteI love seeing all these activities...and so like the imaginary games the kids are involved in...and of course the painting themselves. Davis is talking!! keep it coming lindsay, I really enjoy these. love
