"Hey look, Mom! I made us 'cool guys'!"
Davis is rolling more often from his tummy to back now, but he usually just collapses into a pile of giggles when we do tummy time. He's such a silly baby.
I took the boys to buy fireworks and Cal selected several that have "no big booms". He thought the Snappers were hysterical!
Time for smoke bombs!
Pee break! Yes, in our front yard. Yes, that's how we roll.
Our sweet boys on the 4th....
Davis loved the ribs! I gave him pork that night and he's since eaten beef and chicken. It's official....he's a good eater. He still doesn't eat a large amount of anything at once, but at least he's open to trying a variety of foods!
He was teething on the rib bone. Bones.....they're not just for dogs.
On Saturday morning, we went to Lewis for the parade. This rural town puts on a fun parade, I'll tell ya that much. Cal loved it....but wasn't a fan of the loud sirens.
Davis was really interested in all of the commotion!
I love that one of the parade participants was just a guy driving a truck....with his dog riding shot gun. I love small towns!
Sure...why not?
The best part was that they threw candy....lots and lots of candy.
He was carrying as much as his little mitts would hold. This was 1 of 20 candy reapings.
Tractor time!
I love the silos in the background and the old buildings on Lewis's main street. When Tony and I were younger and stayed at Grandma's, we'd walk on these small, dirt streets to go to the library for books, down to the pub for burgers, and over to the park to play. I obviously grew up in Larned, but we spent so much time in Lewis that we knew everyone and they knew us (or that we were Bruce's kids/Norma's grandkids).
Time to teeth on the stroller's tray.
He's like that baby in Lemony Snickets! Case in point:
Cal rode in the barrels and was so excited! They were pulled by a lawn mower.
My beautiful Grandma had such a great time seeing everyone in her town. Even though she lives in Larned now, Lewis will forever be her town.
Mitch snagged a few awesome hats from the Southern Plains Coop. They are super cute!
We can't go to Lewis without eating at the Pub!
Our sweet baby and his Great Grandma enjoyed some hamburger and french fries.
My folks bought us this wagon when Tony and I were kids. I want to take a better photo in it of the boys, but for now we'll accept this one....I love my two naked babies.
Grandma turned 89 on Sunday, July 6th. Cal offered to help her open her gifts no less than 30 times. She gladly accepted his help.
Happy Birthday, Grandma! I love this beautiful woman. She always makes me feel as though she's been waiting all day to see me and once she does her day is complete.
Love this post!! Sorry we never got to meet up over the holiday.
