Cal is currently teething.....eight teeth. There should be another word for teething when it encompasses molars and various other pearly whites. Something like, "Crankypants-itis" or "Goodluckgettingmetoeat-osis" would be more appropriate. Poor Cal doesn't have much of an appetite and has been battling a 101 fever for 2 days. The kiddo won't maintain his 100th percentile weight ranking for long if all he'll eat is bananas and cantaloupe! His milk consumption has increased two-fold since that's all he wants recently.
Anyway, I'm going to back track and post pics of Tony's visit now, which were pre-Crankypants-itis.
Cal is tall, but doesn't look so big next to Uncle Tony!
Time for a cookie-stealing sequence!
Aunt Susie came to visit and then we all went to eat at The Pub. I've been going to this bar/restaurant since I was itty bitty and have always been a fan. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree because Cal ate his fair share of burger, tots, fries, and tacos!
He selected this shirt for his uncle....."Tony's Nice Slice Favorite Pizza".
"Up!"
Mom, Cal, and I watched the boys play Hole 18 of their tourney.
We then went over and swam with our friends. Maddox Machado and Cal had lots of fun playing, sharing sippy cups, wearing each others shoes, etc. However, Cal has a habit of patting kids on their heads when he meets them and Maddox wasn't a fan. Although it's inappropriate to hit, in Cal's defense, Maddox has an amazingly lush head of hair and I wanted to pat it, too.
"Hey....dirt! Let's eat it!"
Big smiles for Great Grandma....
"Here, you look hungry."
New favorite activities at Grandma and Grandpa's:
lay in the dog beds
stack and unstack plastic containers and bowls
open and close cabinets
On Sunday, we went back out to the course and watched the boys play in again.
After dinner and a bath, it was play time with Grandma Annie.
He loves to put toys on his head and others' heads.....a big gigglefest ensues.
The night ended when Cal discovered that he could climb into the dogs' toy bin. The poor guy promptly toppled forward into the brick hearth, but came out of it with only a slight scratch.
Cal loves to climb on everything now, i.e. the books that he throws off of the shelves, the dogs, his chair, his drum, and most recently his sippy cup. I think we'd better double check our wall mounts to assure they're secure!!
Love all the pics!! Lilah is teething as well and is very cranky and not wanting to eat either. I'm ready for them to just be all in, but I'm sure then there will be some other stage they will be going through.
