He also really enjoys grabbing things, faces, hair, etc. Nearly everything goes in the mouth, which lately includes his toes! When he can, he will grab your nose or glasses, and he really enjoys putting his fingers in your mouth. While he was pulling on Great Grandma's teeth, she said, "Now be careful....some of those come out!" Great Grandma and Mitch still think Cal's eyes may have a hint of blue, or "navy", as Great Gma says. They're also predicting that he is a lefty, as he grabs for most toys with his left hand!
We went back to Larned for Thanksgiving and Cal was full of smiles. Except for his two hour nap during Thanksgiving dinner, he didn't sleep well (big shocker for "No Nap Cal"), but he had so many interesting people to interact with. Who has time for sleeping when there is so much going on?! He saved lots of smiles for his Great Aunt Susie. She liked his "Caligator" shirt so he thought he'd reward her with giggles.
Our big guy stands up while we hold him. In fact, he'd prefer to be standing than sitting idly. Here he is showing Grandma Annie how big he is in his new 12 month sleeper (he wears all 12 month clothing now.....growing like a weed!!).
Grandpa Gator kept Cal busy with lots of bouncing and playing. Every once in awhile, Cal got bored and bent over to bite Grandpa's knee! His two bottom teeth are in, but luckily for us (especially Grandpa's knee) he isn't able to get a good CHOMP quite yet.
Everyone cooperated, for the most part, and we got a good family picture....."and baby makes five!"
My little chunky monkey looks like he ate a full Thanksgiving meal, but I swear he's only on cereal and milk! We're going to introduce veggies in a week or so.....and judging by his heft, I'm sure he'll "gobble gobble" those right up, too.
We hope you all had a great holiday!!!
